I needed to make decisions for my father who has dementia and can’t remember or understand things anymore. They took me through the process to apply for a EPOA, and helped me understand about some of the stuff like capacity and financial and personal care. They gave me a list of things to do to go through the process properly so my brothers couldn’t complain like going to my dad’s doctor first and making sure my dad’s wishes are properly put on the form. They also referred me to a company that can help if there’s any legal issues so I can organise my dad’s care properly.
